Outstanding Service Project Award
Created in 1994, the Outstanding Service Project (OSP) awards recognize NHS and NJHS chapters that make significant community service contributions at the local level. Each project submitted for this award is judged based on their goals and organization; service impact; involvement; and the quality and clarity of the written summary. This year, five NHS and five NJHS schools received the Outstanding Service Project Award.
Our corporate partner, Herff-Jones, Inc., provides the plaques for the Outstanding Service Projects each year. They are a generous and loyal supporter of the Honor Societies.
With more than 23,000 active chapters, it is estimated that millions of hours of service are performed each year by our members. Read descriptions of past OSP award recipients.
All of our winning chapters have displayed organizational talents and truly dynamic leadership by both students and advisers, shown effective communication skills, and massive amounts of caring.
We hope that this will serve as both a resource to and motivation for all persons involved with our chapters nationwide. For any additional information, please contact the national office.
