The Ultimate Academic Challenge
The NHS Scholars' Bowl® was developed in 2002 to offer a unique academic competition for members of the National Honor Society. Drawing from the many successful national quiz bowl events as models, Scholars' Bowl first emerged at the 2002 NHS & NJHS National Conference in Atlanta. The response of chapters around the nation to this new undertaking has been extremely strong. This section is designed to help you prepare to field a team at our next event.
What is the NHS Scholars' Bowl®? More than anything else, the NHS Scholars' Bowl® is an opportunity for students from your NHS chapter to compete against other highly qualified students from around the nation.
Who can compete? Teams of four students, accompanied by a chapter adviser or other adult team coach, can sign up to participate in the NHS Scholars' Bowl® when they submit their registration forms for the National Conference.
Please check this site in August 2009 for updates regarding the Scholars' Bowl®

The organizations were established in 1921 and 1929 respectively by the National Association of Secondary School Principals. NASSP proudly sponsors all programs and activities of NHS and NJHS along with those of the National Association of Student Councils.
