We are grateful to our colleagues at Youth Service America (YSA) who have created an important new resource we’d like to share for this fall.
As we approach the ninth anniversary of the attacks of September, 11, 2001, we are challenged to explain the significance of the event to America's young people - many of whom have no first-hand memory of this event. YSA has created a helpful guide that offers nine lessons and suggests ideas for service-learning projects for each. Download a copy of the guide or visit www.ysa.org

Unsure of Your Chapter's Status? All NHS and NJHS member schools were sent renewal invoices last spring, addressed to the principal. The deadline for renewal was June 30. If you are not certain whether your membership is active or not, you can use this handy checklist to quickly and easily check on your chapter's status.

2010 NHS Scholarship Winners Announced NHS is proud to announce the 2010 winners of the National Honor Society Scholarships. Every state in the U.S. plus Puerto Rico and our foreign chapters had at least two scholarship winners. Larger, more populated states received from two to seven scholarship awards. These students, all members of the Class of 2010, were chosen from among more than 6,000 nominees.
