Featured Speakers
Rhett Laubach can be described using three words: Energy, Passion, and Real. As a professional speaker, author, leadership expert and founder/operator of YourNextSpeaker, LLC, Rhett has presented high energy keynotes and workshops for 15 years, in 40 states and to more than half a million audience members. He also coaches hundreds of individuals to develop their public speaking, interviewing and interpersonal communication skills. Get ready, pump up your energy and get real with Rhett Laubach.
Ted Wiese asks how students can learn to be part of the solution instead of part of the problem. Ted answers this question in his most popular keynote, Be Part of the Solution, which deals with turning failures into stepping-stones for success, accepting personal responsibility for our actions and the power of making a positive difference in the lives of others. It is 60 minutes of fun, laughter, inspiration and emotion aimed at the heart.
Adviser Professional Development
All LEAD Conferences offer advisers professional development through a full training program concurrent with the student program. Advisers will take part in sessions designed with their unique needs in mind led by experienced advisers and nationally known speakers and presenters. Sessions will be offered on topics such as fundraising, teambuilding, communication, teacher recognition and motivation, leadership, and most important, the long-term impact you have on the students you teach. Also offered is the ever popular adviser's Idea Exchange rated as the most valuable opportunity for advisers to obtain new ideas and share information with each other.
By participating in the LEAD Conference, advisers may earn Continuing Education Units (CEUs). NASSP is a member of the International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET). LEAD Conferences are approved to provide 1.1 CEU credits for 11 hours of continuous educational training. Check with your school district to see if these credits can be applied toward your educational requirements.
What Else?
In addition to the above special training tracks and presentations, Saturday will be filled with interactive student and adviser workshops, idea exchanges, large group leadership sessions and an opportunity to hear first-hand from speakers and presenters who collectively offer 150 years of experience.
Student and Adviser Small Group Workshop Presenters Needed!
