ELIGIBLE PARTICIPANTS
Students entering grades 6-12 in the fall of 2009 and advisers/administrators from any school may attend. Each student, adviser and administrator must register using the online registration process found at www.nasc.us/lead or www.nhs.us/lead. Every student must have an adult responsible for them at the conference. One or more adults must accompany and supervise each group of 12 high school students and each group of 10 middle level students. This may be an adviser/administrator from another school, a national council member, or the state student council executive director.
REGISTRATION FEES
Members: *Early bird: $165.00 per person/Regular Fee: $185 per person from a NHS, NJHS, or NASC affiliated member school. You must register by the deadlines below in order to receive the early bird rate.
Non-members: *Early bird: $265.00 per person/Regular Fee: $285 per person from schools that are not affiliated members of NHS, NJHS, or NASC. Non-member schools who wish to join NHS, NJHS, or NASC to be eligible for the discounted member registration fee will find membership applications on our Web sites www.nhs.us, www.njhs.us, and www.nasc.us.

HOW TO REGISTER
1. COMPLETE THE ONLINE REGISTRATION FORM: The online conference registration form will be available September 2009. You must have an E-mail account for online registration.
All attendees (student and adviser/administrator) must complete the registration form online. Students print the completed registration form and give it to your conference adviser/administrator (NASSP does not require copies of the registration forms mailed to us).
IMPORTANT REGISTRATION NOTES:
Online registration will close two weeks prior to the conference:
Online registration closes January 22, 2010 for Washington, D.C.
Online registration closes February 5, 2010 for Chicago, IL
Online registration closes March 5, 2010 for Phoenix, AZ
2. COMPLETE THE PAYMENT FORM & SELECT METHOD OF PAYMENT:
A. Payment Form: The conference adviser/administrator must complete the payment form.
B. Method of Payment (Check, Money Order, or Credit Card):
Credit Cards: If you are paying with a credit card (Visa, MasterCard, or American Express), complete the payment form and the credit card section and fax to Kathy Jones at 703–476–9321. Credit card payments can be faxed to us anytime prior to the conference.
Checks: Please send one check or money order to cover your entire delegation made payable to NASSP/LEAD Conference. Note: Payment for student registration fees, unless paid by your school, should be made payable to you, the school, or the school district and you, in turn, mail us one check or money order to cover the registration fees for the entire group.
3. MAIL THE COMPLETED PAYMENT FORM & PAYMENT:
Mail the completed payment form with your check postmarked by the deadline dates listed above addressed to NASSP, PO Box 3250, Reston, VA 20195-1250.
If you register after the postmark deadline dates above, all registration fees MUST be paid by using the payment form with a credit card (Visa, MasterCard, or American Express) and faxed to Kathy Jones at 703–476–9321.
REGISTRATION CONFIRMATION
1. All delegates will receive an E-mail message within 24 hours verifying that their registration has been submitted. You must have an E-mail account to receive your notification(s).
2. Once the payment form and fees have been received, a second E-mail message will confirm your registration and you may proceed with travel plans.
CONFIRMATION MATERIALS
All confirmation materials will be on the LEAD Conferences Web sites (www.nhs.us/LEAD or www.nasc.us/LEAD) for advisers and students to review, print out, and complete. NASSP will no longer mail confirmation packets to advisers.
Do not assume you are registered until you receive the official confirmation E-mail from NASSP/LEAD Conferences.
SUBSTITUTION POLICY
Refunds for cancellations will not be issued. Substitutions may be made at any time with no charge. You may substitute an adviser for a student or vice versa of any gender. Substitutes will not be confirmed until the online substitution form has been completed and faxed to Kathy Jones at 703–476–9321.
Substitution forms may be faxed up until 5 business days prior to the conference. After this deadline date the conference adviser should bring a copy of the completed substitution form with him/her to the conference to turn in at the on-site registration check-in Help Desk.
