The social media world moves fast. Before your students snap, tweet, or post, urge them to take a moment and think about the consequences. Consider making a display similar to this one to encourage mindfulness when it comes to social media.

Have you heard? NASC is now National Student Council, or #NatStuCo. Make use of that hashtag to promote your council on social media. Also, be sure to get acquainted with National Student Council’s new look and logo, and peruse all of the program’s components on its updated website: www.NatStuCo.org.

How are you #MakingGlobalChange? The Elizabeth Forward High School (PA) student government’s work at the Book Nook won our Instagram contest by posting a photo with that hashtag and nabbed $100 for their charity of choice. Continue working to make a positive global impact for years to come by posting your global citizenship projects to Instagram with #MakingGlobalChange. It could win your council or chapter $100 to pay it forward for your favorite cause!

The end of the semester means finals, and finals mean stressed-out students. Spread a little sweetness during exam time by making encouraging posters for the hallways and, perhaps, offering students an unexpected treat. The more support students feel they have, the more successful they will be.
