Established in 1931, the National Student Council (NatStuCo) is the leading organization for excellence in middle level and high school student councils. NatStuCo provides student councils and their advisers with the knowledge, skills, and resources that students need to become active, engaged leaders in their schools and communities.

The National Junior Honor Society focuses on middle level students, recognizing the academic excellence of students in grades 6-9 who exhibit outstanding service, leadership, character, and citizenship. The National Elementary Honor Society recognizes elementary students for their outstanding academic achievement and demonstrated personal responsibility, meaningful service to the school and community, and leadership skills.
