Outstanding Service Project Awards

The Outstanding Service Project (OSP) awards recognize National Honor Society and National Junior Honor Society chapters that have made significant service contributions at the local level. With more than 27,000 active chapters, it is estimated that millions of hours of service are performed each year by Honor Society members.

The OSP awards were established in 1994 to recognize chapters who have made a significant impact through service. Five NHS and Five NJHS projects are selected for this recognition each year. Chapters are also encouraged to submit their full project description to the National Student Project Database to share with other chapters.

The recipients for the 2019 awards have been selected. Each chapter will receive a plaque in March recognizing this achievement. Review a full list of recipients here. Thank you to all of the chapters that submitted applications this year.

The application process will reopen on July 1, and the deadline for submissions will be November 1, 2019.
